Description

Gerard Gilet is an acclaimed Australian luthier who has been making custom, hand‑crafted guitars since 1976. He was one of the first in Australia to specialise in high‑quality custom acoustic and classical guitar construction and also ran one of the country’s earliest luthier supply businesses. Over more than four decades he built a reputation for meticulous workmanship and deep knowledge of guitar design, acoustics, and materials.

Gilet guitars are recognised worldwide. They’ve been purchased by professional players, international artists, and discerning enthusiasts alike, and are noted for their responsiveness, tonal balance, and craftsmanship. Instruments from past decades continue to be sought after on the used market.

The ‘O’ is the smallest size guitar Gilet Guitars makes. It is modelled on a style popular in the 1920’s with blues and ragtime players. These guitars are noted for their excellent treble response and volume.
