Music has been a lifelong passion for me. I began learning piano before I started school and have been singing for as long as I can remember, but it was picking up the guitar at age eleven that truly sparked my love of music. From that point on, music became a central part of my life, leading me to study Music at the University of Sydney and pursue a career as both a performer and educator.
For more than twenty years, I have been teaching music to students of all ages and abilities, helping them develop not only technical skills but also confidence, creativity, and a genuine enjoyment of making music. I teach guitar, bass, piano, and singing, and I tailor lessons to each student’s individual goals, whether they’re learning for fun, preparing for performances, or working towards formal study.
Alongside teaching, I remain an active performer and songwriter. I write and perform original music and play with several local bands throughout the Northern Rivers region. In 2023, I had the privilege of singing and playing guitar in a Jeff Buckley tribute show, celebrating the work of one of my greatest musical influences. My aim as a teacher is to share the excitement and fulfilment that music has brought to my own life, and to help students discover their own musical voice.
